residential treatment centres for people with autism
This service is available thanks to the apafac association, one of the organisations that make up the Autism la Garriga Project.
It consists of two residences, the Llar Cau Blanc (1983) and the Llar Cottet (1990). Both are located in Ronda del carril Street , La Garriga (Barcelona). The Llar Cau Blanc is situated at number 83 and the Llar Cottet is at number 85. Each can accommodate up to 20 people.
Their purpose is to provide the following:
- Specific treatments
- Family support
- Diagnostic assessment
- Permanent residence
The methodology is based on:
- An individualized reinforcement and support plan
- The moderation of the duration of activities
- The alternation of activities (sedentary- active; indoor-outdoor) and of spaces
The following activities are carried out:
- Personal and social autonomy
- Gardening
- Laundry
- Household chores
- Leisure
- Swimming
- Physical activity
- Walks
